There's an article on Twain and Wilde in the MT ENCYCLOPEDIA.  If memory
serves, while Twain occasionally made disparaging comments on him, Clara
recalled a pleasant evening when the two writers met and shared
conversation.

in "The Importance of Being Earnest."  Speaking of Wilde and Twain, what did
Twain think of Wilde--a parody of his name is used in "The Man that
