I'm seeking information regarding an airbrush portrait that was done of
Twain at the Clover Club dinner in Philadelphia on April 9, 1885.
Is it's present location known or has it been reprinted anywhere?

The artist who did the portrait was Will McEntee. He worked as a
demonstrator/publicist for the Air Brush Manufacturing Co. in Rockford
Illinois. According to reports McEntee was quite a character and by all
accounts extremely talented. He studied Twain over dinner, and produced
the painting within a few minutes - as some sort of floor show.

Thanks,
Barb
