Hello!

I am following a conversation on the Mark Twain Forum of which I am a member
and I realized that you might be able to help me find out if there are any
handbills or theatre playbills from Wayle Hall in Sonoma or any other venue
in Sonoma which would provide me with a lead in establishing Mark Twain's
presence here.

It is local legend that he stayed for three months at the Ray Adobe formerly
the officers quarters for Stevenson's Regiment Company "C" when it was a
boarding house. Professor Heinrich Schliemann also stayed there for three
months and I have pieced together enough evidence to prove that but I am
unable to establish evidence of Twain's stay. This adobe was my family home
for 35 years and we were told that all the papers connected with the
building were collected by Mr. Bancroft.

Can you point me in the right direction or provide a few how to go about
this leads? I have never done search and discovery before and I need a
little help to get started.

Thank you

Carla Heine
