Dear Twainians,
I certainly agree on the unlikely authorship of the "Mammoth Cod," after
reading it. The work has no sign of the Twain style.
I have a question though, that I would like to preface by saying that I am
not a scholar of Twain as some of you are, I'm merely a community college
instructor. I have read that Twain avoided the obscene, or suggestive on
the
whole. Yes, I know "1601." Was that critic's opinion soundly based?
  Thank you in advance.
