We were fortunate enought to see the play in Sonora in February when an
"audition" of sorts was mounted for Jane McCone. Even though the play is
slanted to
boost Harte at Twain's expense, it is a good exploration of the
relationship.

As with others who have dedicated themselves to portraying Twain, Randy
Maple's immersion in his subject is impressive and reaps rewards in his
knowledge
of his character.
