I believe that there is a menu for the infamous Whittier Birthday dinner in
1877, at which Mark Twain was a featured speaker.  The menu is available
(if memory serves [1??]) in the appendix of Henry Nash Smith's famous
article on the dinner.  The article is called "That Hideous Mistake of Poor
Clemens" and was in the Harvard Library Bulletin in 1955.
