Just a brief question:  I would like to know which of Baedeker's
Tourist Guides might Twain have owned.  It would seem he was familiar
with the Rhine guide and I have found a great deal of material from the
guide on Northern Germany he may have perused - I'm working with the
1873 edition.
 There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of
                          in your philosophy.
