The figure looks more like Hal Holbrook than Sam Clemens.

Subject: Artist identification ?

I have been asked to help identify the artist who drew the caricature of
Mark Twain titled "A Man of Mark". Milton Meltzer published the graphic
(attached) in _Mark Twain Himself_, p. 152. Meltzer provides the sources
and first publication for most of his graphics, but not this one. Has
anyone researched the first appearance and/or artist for this graphic?

Thanks,
Barb
