The Learning Channel; Saturday, September 3, 10 p.m. (Eastern):

Great Books: Huckleberry Finn; Great Books rafts down the Mississippi to
explore why _Huckleberry Finn_ remains a timeless classic--and why it was
banned in places when it was first published, 110 years ago. This look at
the backdrop against which Mark Twain's classic novel was written draws
parallels between events in the book and 19th-century American life; 60
minutes.

Note: The Learning Channel crew was at the Mark Twain Memorial during the
October 1993 conference, "Book Banning in America."
