I hear references from numerous Jean Shepherd radio programs from WOR-AM, NYC from the mid 1970s attesting to Shepherd being the winner of some Mark Twain award for humor. Does anyone have details regarding this award and other "winners"? Shepherd could tell stories in long format, has an extensive mp3 collection of over a thousand radio programs assessable on the Internet, would sometimes tell stories of George Ade.
