Twain and Wilde met in Berlin in the early 1890s, 1892 I believe, though I'd
have to check my files to be sure.  They might have met one another some
time
earlier, but I can't recall it at the moment.  I know about the Berlin
meeting
because Susy refers to it in her letters to Louise Brownell.  I hesitate to
say
more about the correspondence for fear people will think I am fixated on
19th
century homosexuality.
