Folks; I may have circulated this little article a couple years ago when it appeared, about the Horace Bixby house in Lafayette Square, about a mile north of my home in STL. If not, here it is; if I did, swallow hard and move on in another direction... But it circled back to my attention today due to other issues:

Anyway, the exact address is 1532 Mississippi Ave., which oddly is never mentioned in the article. Worth a look, if you are ever streaming through the Lou. PS: Lafayette Square is itself fascinating, being considered by some to feature the finest Victorian-style architecture of any old neighborhood in the country; and also perhaps the first of its type west of the Mississippi (just a mile or 2 west, but west nonetheless...).

Horace Bixby, friend of Mark Twain, was buried without a headstone. Larry and Andrea Heugatter wanted to change that.
