Steve and all--

This isn't an "episode" in a regular series, but it's in a sort of regular
feature in a regular TV show, if that counts. Letterman has a
now-and-then feature on American humor (A Mark Twain Moment in American
Humor, I think it's called) that has a MT look alike (white suit, white
hair and mustache) sitting in a rocking chair to deliver a joke or an
observation that is sort of humorous but is definitely caustic and
sardonic.

Thanks for this list of book spinoffs--I've been trying to gather all of
them myself as they've appeared on the Forum, but here they are all in one
place. It's an interesting topic and I can use these in a course.
