Five or six years ago a new rock band appeared (I don't
remember the name, so they may still be around) whose lead
singer claimed to be a descendant of Mark Twain.  Obviously he
couldn't be a direct descendant, but I wonder where in the
Clemens genealogy he was reputed to fit.  Or was he just an
imposter...?

BTW, during the recent lull the Mark Twain Forum has been
quietly accumulating subscribers, and we passed the 100 mark
about two weeks ago.  I'd like to welcome the new subscribers,
and assure them that TWAIN-L has seen busier days--and will
yet, I'm sure.
