I'm attempting to clarify some dates in my time line.  The Clemens 
family reportedly moved into the Hooker House October 2, 1871.  They 
took residence in their Hartford House September 19, 1874.  Did the 
Hooker House remain their official residence (hold the lease) for that 
period?  The references I find generally specify "Hartford".
