Have you looked in the "Collected Tales, Sketches, Speeches, & Essays" (
2volumes ) as published in the Library of America series? The first volume
covers 1852 - 1890 and the second 1891 - 1910. All editions I have seen at
bookstores are sealed shut and I do not have access to a library that would
have this in the collection.

On this subject has anyone read/reviewed these volumes? Why the break at
1890 - any significance to that year? What do people who have read more
Twain than I think of the Library of America editions of his works? Thanks
