LIST-member Hal Bush will be part of a Mark Twain panel at 1-2:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 10, at the J.C. Penney Auditorium at UM-St.  Louis. The
panel will consist of Prof. Bush, Prof. Gerald Early (Washington U.),
David Carkeet, Roy Blount Jr. and Wayne Fields, with Bob Costas as
moderator.  A reception with pastries and coffee will follow in the
lobby so people can mingle and continue the discussion.  The panel will
be free and open to the public.  It is part of the 10th Annual St. Louis
International Film Festival.

Of additional interest:

--Ken Burns will be interviewed by Bob Costas Fri, Nov. 9th, followed by

excerpts from the new Mark Twain film by Burns.  Later in the festival
the entire 4-hour long film will be shown.  The Burns-Costas event is
quite expensive, however.

--Hal Bush will also be giving a presentation on Mark Twain and Ken
Burns's new film at 10:00 am on Saturday Nov. 10th as part of the Faith
and Film Conference, in conjunction with the St. Louis International
Film Festival.

--In addition, there will be a showing of Roy Blount 's new film The
Main Stream: A Mississippi Journey in Search of Twain's World at the
Tivoli Theatre, on the afternoon of Nov. 10th.

--Conference-goers will also have the opportunity to see the entire
4-hour version of Burns's Mark Twain during the conference.
