I remember talking to Kent Rasmussen about this, who mentioned that
the only person who could verify the truth of the ackowledgment was
Cyril Clemens, who ran the International Mark Twain Society.

Are there outside sources to confirm if FDR said it? And is the
Stephen King mentioned in the subject THE Stephen King?
