thank you for your reply but I've got one more question, where online would
I find it?  I didn't know he wrote bawdy material, but the more I think
about his personality, I don't doubt it.  From what I understand living here
in CA, he wasn't a saint!  But I have to admit, he never let work get in the
way of his drinking!  I knew I'd use that quote someday!

I'm a senior at CSUS in Sacramento, I guess I should also say I'm also 54
years old and not a young student.  History is my major and Mark Twain has
been a passion of mine since I read his first story when I was five.  by the
time I waqs nine, I thought I'd read everything he'd ever written, and about
a billion autobiographies.  But try as I might, I've never heard that story.
