One more bit of trivia regarding the film--
It was being filmed in New Orleans the same time as the 2006 Mark
Twain/American Humor Studies Conference (held there in New Orleans).

The day after the conference, my wife and I were touring the Garden
District.  We came across a closed-for-filming street, and I had to
inquire.  Turns out it was the _Benjamin_ film.  Though we didn't see
Brad Pitt there, despite my wife's best efforts to locate him.
