In the 6th (and latest) volume of Twain's letters, at the foot of page
194, note 2, the editors identify the Opera House in Virginia City as
Maguire's; I, for reasons I cannot recall, thought it was Piper's. Can
anyone out there clarify this for me?
I hate to point out the following, but on page 489 the Allan in Poe's
name appears as Allen. It's not an uncommon mistake.
