Several people have been asking about Twain Internet courses.

I see that the Barnes and Noble web site is offering free online courses on
a variety of subjects. In the literary arena are courses on Whitman and
Shakespeare. I don't know how they choose instructors, if there is
remuneration, nor the responsibilities involved, but if one of the many
Twain experts who subscribe to this forum is willing to look into it and
offer one's expertise, B & N may be receptive to the idea.

Although the courses are free, students need to sign up for a course, and a
text is always highly recommended. (B & N is in the business of selling
books, after all.)

If this does indeed turn into an online Twain course, I will be among the
first to sign up.
