In the gap left by the apparent demise of the fine little journal
Studies in Short Fiction, a new journal has begun-Eureka Studies in
Teaching Short Fiction. ESTSF is compiling essays for the next issue on
teaching Twain stories. Typical essays are between 2400 and 4000 words,
including works cited. The intended audience is mainly high school and
lower-division college teachers. The Twain issue has a Sept. 30
deadline, and electronic copy is appreciated (email seems to work just
fine).

If anyone has an article nearing completion, I'm sure the editor Loren
Logsdon would like to see it. He may be reached at:

Subscriptions are $12 annually, and donations would also be welcome.
