There isn't a shred of evidence to support the claim that Queen Victoria's
Jubilee was privately printed for or by Mark Twain.  No evidence has ever
surfaced that Twain ever knew about the book or ever saw a copy, let alone
ever owned one.  In fact, evidence so far suggests he had nothing to do with
this printing because it was likely printed during the last months of his
life (no one knows the publication date but evidence points to late 1909 or
early 1910) & every copy that was allegedly signed by Mark Twain has proven
to be a forgery(!!!).  It is possible that Twain found out about its
existence, and possibly even owned a copy, but it is very, very unlikely.

I think Mr. Newton who owns the copy of QVJ is confusing his book with the
1906 first printing of " What Is Man?", which of course actually was
privately printed expressly for Twain, which he did distribute to certain
people he deemed worthy of ownership.
