Hello --

MT did begin a novel about Hawaii in or around, I believe, 1884.  I do not
know that he gave it a title -- or if it is extant, although if it is, it
is probably at the MT Papers in Berkeley.

BTW, the last (lengthy) section of Roughing It is about Hawaii.  And of
course he often lectured on his visit there -- many of these speeches are
available.
