This is one problem women have which men don't have to worry about.
I was just writing to Sharon about the time I spent at the Mark Twain
Papers in 1978.   I met Ken Sanderson there, someone I recognized from when
we were graduate students in 1965.  Bob Hirst came up and I attended a
lecture he gave to a class.   In 1965 I was Jeanne Adamson.  In 1978 I was
Arianne Laidlaw.  I started out as Jeanne Laidlaw.  My 1963 MA thesis was
written by Jeanne Adamson.
I'm grateful I have passports recording my various names over the years
in case I'm ever challenged.
