I can't recall any direct comments by Twain on Jefferson, but there are
two allusions to him in Huckleberry Finn.  Interestingly, one of the
Phelps children is named "Thomas Franklin Benjamin Jefferson Elexander"
(Chapter 39).  And then there's the picture called "Signing of the
Declaration" hanging in the Grangerford house (Chapter 17).
