The Lake Tahoe Mountain News is currently running a half page ad for Labor
Day
celebrations at the lake. It features a large-type, bold-faced quotation:
"If
Labor Dat at Lake Tahoe doen't cure what ails you, I'll bury you at my own
expense.--Mark Twain"

Alongside the "quotation" is a picture, not even of Mark Twain, but of
McEvoy
Lane, the impersonator.

Are there any other ripe examples of  spurious quotations (either
commercially
inclined or not)?
