This is a follow-up to my earlier posting on Pamelia Goggin Clemens, Mark
Twain's grandmother. As the mother of his father, John M. Clemens, she was,
of course, his paternal (not his "maternal") grandmother. I apologize for
this extra confusion. Too much Thanksgiving turkey, or something.
