Can anyone in the Forum direct me to the phone, address or email of Bernard
Sabath? He is a distinguished Twainian playwright, now in his 80s, whom
many of you will be familiar with, as I was not until clued in recently by
Kent Rasmussen. Mr. Sabath wrote The Boys in Autumn, a very successful play
in the 70s, now harder to find, recounting the reunion in later life of Tom
Sawyer and Huck Finn. I urged our local theatre (The Martin, Panama City,
Florida) to do the play, and we are going to produce it in October. I know
that Mr. Sabath is probably living in Sarasota, Florida, but I have no
knowledge of his current health. If he is, as I hope, in good health and
active, I would be delighted to tell him about our production, invite him to
attend, and just generally pick his brain. Thanks!
