I'm a bit bothered by something on page 35 of Levy's _Huck Finn's
America_.  It appears that at least two pilots have been promoted to
Captain, Brown and Bixby. "...Twain would have been steering if he
hadn't beaten up the captain days before."  Levy had also attributed to
a captain (unnamed) "feats of fancy blasphemy".  I know he admired
Bixby's skill in this art but I don't recall it of a captain.
