To the Mark Twain list,

I'm writing an article on *Joan of Arc* and would appreciate
opinions on the following:

1. Is there any good alternative to using the 1896 "authorized
Uniform Edition" (Harper & Brothers, 1896) for citations to the text?

2. Does anyone know the provenance of the quotation about Joan by
Louis Kossuth, which is included in the front matter?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
