i agree with gregg. i had forgotten about the plot summaries, but i would
hope most university libraries would have this book in their reference
section (so it cannot be checked out) so it would be available without
paying for it.  if your library doesn't have it, check with the librarian
in charge of buying reference books.  as a reference purchase, _A to Z_ is
relatively inexpensive, and they will most hopefully be able to purchase
it. my reference subject specialist was overjoyed with the request i made
for several books, he was happy to buy something someone requested.

the paperback editions of the Mark Twain Project volumes are specifically
published for those who cannot afford the hardcover editions.

also, why go through the "established" channels??  why not have your
students purchase their books through the Mark Twain Forum link to
Amazon.com?  :)
