        As the guides at the Mark Twain house in Hartford will
tell you, Twain tried to learn to ride a bicycle and apparently met
with mixed success.  His instructor is supposed to have said that
Twain found more ways to fall off a bicycle than had been thought of
ever before.  Twain also wrote about this experience, although I don't
recall the exact reference--possibly the Autobiography?
