Hello, I am currently researching how to best teach the
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn on the secondary school
level. I have already acquired quite a few sources on the
subject, most notably the articles in Satire or Evasion: Black
Perspectives on Huckleberry Finn and Making Mark Twain Work in the
Classroom.

At this point in my research, though, I am looking for a
good critical biography of Twain, one that may specifically
address issues pertaining to the composition of the
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, or even tell of his stint in
the Confederate Army. If anyone can recommend a good
biography of Twain, or has any other suggestions for articles/books
that may be helpful to my research, it would be very appreciated.
Thank you all for your patience and assistance!!!

Michael Bobish
