The dial up problem is caused by a bug in a recent patch issued by
Microsoft. This is a global problem affecting hundreds of organizations.
We have opened an incident report with Microsoft and are working with them
to attempt to resolve the problem.

We will provide an update by email and voicemail (416 736 5800) on any
developments which may occur over the weekend, but likely it will be at
least Tuesday before Microsoft releases a hotfix for the patch. We are
currently investigating other solutions in the event that Microsoft is
unable to release a hotfix.

Questions or concerns about this note, should be directed to
the CNS Helpdesk in the Computing Commons, William Small Centre,
(voice: 416-736-5800, email: [log in to unmask]).
