This is just a reminder that the Toronto Area Archivists Group is hosting an "Appraisal of Non-textual Records Workshop" on Friday February 4th. Some of the topics to be explored include: defining appraisal; the special characteristics of non-textual records; the impact of physical and technical constraints on the appraisal process; stages of appraisal; and the similarities and differences in appraising textual and non-textual records.
