Happy belated New Year to all!
I am in the process of trying to compile
information on suppliers of environmental control systems for contained storage
areas within larger buildings, both big and small. If you have installed a
system that controls both temperature and relative humidity in such a space, can
you give me a quick run-down on the following:
Where did you buy it and who did the
installation (Phone numbers please)?
How much did it cost?
What is the approximate square footage it
serves?
Were there any unforeseen factors that made the
system difficult to install in the chosen space, such as additional ductwork or
requirements for fresh air intake?
Has servicing been
sufficient?
Have you noticed a tangible increase in hydro costs to operate
the unit and is this a future budgetary consideration?
Any help you can provide me would be most appreciated.
Even just a quick answer to the first two questions would help
considerably. Please identify your institution. My hope is to
collate this information, after which it will be free for the asking.
Perhaps installing such a unit is something you can consider in next year's
preservation grant applications if you don't already have one in place.
Thanks in advance,
