----------------- HES POSTING ----------------- I am doing a small project on the way the prisoner's dilemma game has been used in economics and hope that colleagues in the history of economics can help me. My interests are best understood in terms of a search for your nominations in answer to three questions: a) what do economists as a group (as opposed to HET people) consider to be the "classic" papers in making effective or innovative use of the prisoner's dilemma game in the economics field (as opposed to in political science, biology etc)? b) what are the most bizarre or outlandish or surprising (to you) applications of the game that you have come across in economics papers, books or textbooks? c) can you recall any notable debate of the place of the apostrophe before or after the "s"? I shall be very grateful to any colleagues in the field who can spare a few minutes to supply their answers to any of these questions. Many thanks, Mary S.
