Hi, Don't know exactly what the focus of that article is--I'm pretty sure that about 10 years ago there used to be breastmilk banks in Canada but that they stopped in response to fears of spreading HIV that way. As a public health nurse in a smaller urban area, I didn't have any direct contact and could be confusing what I read in literature from the US but I think they were in Canada as well.
