In relation to Zékya's posting, I had an interesting experience when I was looking for Health Promotion work in France that I thought I would share. Before I continue, I should say that I only looked in one region (Grenoble) and was basically seeing what opportunities were available in either sexual health or as a health promotion specialist. Time and time again, when I spoke to individuals in public health agencies, I was told that "health promotors" don't exist in France -- all health promotion work is done by doctors. Was I simply misinformed, or is this really the way things are in France???
