----------------- HES POSTING ----------------- This is a note from your friendly HES List moderator regarding the turn of discussion on the "Reswitching" thread. Unless you have been deleting your messages from HES without reading them, you will know that the exchanges have moved from a discussion of significant scholarly disagreement over the importance of reswitching to the management of list discussion on the Hayek-L list. I went ahead and posted the messages for three reasons: a) Given the context, I did not want to be the censor; b) most of the messages came back to the reswitching issue, and the ones that did not seemed appropriate as defenses/criticisms of issues raised in earlier messages; and c) the Reder critique of Hayek probably does need to be discussed somewhere. Before things get out of hand on the HES list, however, let me ask two things of all of you. 1) Let's not discuss the management of another email list on our list. Comments regarding Hayek-L (or any other list, for that matter), should be directed to the editor of that list (in the case of Hayek-L, that's Greg Ransom). From my own experience, I know the editor will welcome the feedback, even if it is negative. 2) Don't be deliberately malicious to others, and don't impute malice to others unless you have proof. That said, I welcome a continued conversation about the reswitching debate, and would start a thread on the Reder, Hayek, anti-Semitism issue if someone wants to start that discussion in a scholarly way.
