Hi Everyone: Just thought I would pass along the URL of a new website that=20=
I and other IHMEC members have been involved with www.globalmedicine.org .=20=
 It is a brand new website and is intended to allow health providers worldwi=
de to establish personal and professional contacts. It is anticipated that t=
hese contacts can then lead to cooperative relationships in a wide range of=20=
fields including international medical service, research, book and supply do=
nation, international education and visitor exchange. A primary goal of this=
 website is to contribute to the improvement of health conditions in underse=
rved areas of the world. The site is sponsored by the Massachusetts Medical=
 Society (publishers of the New England Journal of Medicine).=20
Since the utility of this network depends in large measure on the numbers of=
 registrants around the globe, we invite all IHMEC members, their students a=
nd their domestic and international colleagues to register and use the netwo=
rk. More detailed information, including service examples can be found on th=
e website. We also welcome your input as to how to expand and improve this i=
nitiative.=20

Thanks! - Donna Staton, MD
