Hi Keven,

Unless you've sent something to Andrea in the past 4 or 5 days, you
aren't yet registered for the ad.  Of course, it'll be great to include
you...especially since we're at the moment only about half-way to our
1,000 goal.

Below is an e-mail promo for the ad and a registration form.  You can
send the latter back to me or to Andrea.  Could also send the promo and
form on to any colleagues/friends/acquantances that who might want to
support the ad?

It'll be good to have you in Ottawa...perhaps even lead to some chapter
activities!

A THOUSAND NAMES
FOR A NUCLEAR-WEAPON-FREE WORLD!
AD2001 - 3rd Annual 1000 names campaign

On August 4, Physicians for Global Survival-Canada (PGS) will
"Remember Hiroshima" with a national ad campaign that will raise the
profile of the threat of nuclear weapons and the need to abolish them.

An ad will be placed prominently in one or more national publications
in the first week of August.  Your name, or the names you designate,
can be listed in the ad as witness to the wide public support for a
nuclear-weapon-free world.

The ad will recall the mass destruction caused by the nuclear bombs
dropped on Japan in 1945.

It will focus public attention on the threat of a new nuclear arms race
posed by U.S. plans to  build a National Missile Defence system (NMD)
and its development of a new generation of "mini-nukes".  The ad will
declare that a world free of nuclear weapons is a realistic option that
governments must be forced to pursue.

PGS requests a $30 contribution for each name submitted for
inclusion in the ad.  PGS's goal is to register 1,000 names in order to
cover the costs of the ad.

BELOW.  DEADLINE is July 16, 2001 but today is better.
