The Mark Twain Forum needs a reviewer for the following book: Twain, Mark. _How Nancy Jackson Married Kate Wilson and Other Tales of Rebellious Girls and Daring Young Women_. Edited by John Cooley. University of Nebraska Press, 2001. Pp. 255. Softcover, 6 x 9. $16.95. ISBN 0-8032-9442-5. (The review copy actually measures 5 x 9.) Publicity material for the book reads in part: "This special edition brings together the best of Twain's stories about unconventional girls and women, from Eve as she names the animals in Eden to Joan of Arc to the transvestite farce of a young man named Alice from the Wapping district of London." The book contains twelve of Twain's stories (all of which have previously appeared in print) plus an introduction and concluding essay by John Cooley. As usual, the review must be of publishable quality, and it would be due within two months of your receipt of the book. The deadline is particularly important. In all fairness to publishers and authors, if you are inclined to procrastinate, or have difficulty meeting deadlines, please do not offer to review this book. If you would like to see the general content and style of Forum reviews, please browse the reviews page at TwainWeb: http://www.yorku.ca/twainweb/reviews/ A link to the style sheet is at the bottom of the reviews page.
