----------------- HES POSTING ----------------- The annual Austrian Economics Summer Seminar will be held at FEE on June 22-28th. Confirmed lecturers include Israel Kirzner, Mario Rizzo, Lawrence White, Steve Horwitz, Roger Garrison, Mark Skousen and myself. In addition, guest lectures will be provided by Vernon Smith, Karen Vaughn, Richard Wagner and Frederic Sautet. Vernon Smith will talk on Hayek and Experimental Economics and will discuss his current research on the relationship between labatory experiments in the field of neuroeconomics, auction markets, and trust games. Karen Vaughn will discuss her current research on Hayek's implicit economics. Richard Wagner will discuss his work on developing a coordinationist perspective in macroeconomics, as well as his work on integrating Austrian economics and public choice. And Frederic Sautet will address the role of Austrian economics in public policy formation --- Sautet is well suited to address this topic as a senior economist in the NZ Treasury for the past few years after finishing his dissertation work and publishing his work An Entrepreneurial Theory of the Firm. The seminar is designed for PhD students and junior faculty, but exceptional undergraduates and more established faculty are encouraged to apply as well.
