Dear Colleagues:

Our organization has set up an "Off-Site Storage" project for paper-based
records. This would be for pre-archival records (semi-active), but I have
been asked for my input. Only some of this material would eventually be
transferred to the archives.

I am looking for Standards, Policies, Procedures in this regard, and for
those of you in and around Toronto, I am interested in recommendations for
storage companies. I am working from the assumption that my "audience" is
probably not familiar with records management or archival concepts.

So far, I have consulted the following Standards for Records Storage
Facilities:
*       www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/infomgmt/policy/rim/pol03_03.pdf
*       http://archives.gov/about_us/regulations/part_1228_k.html
*       http://www.armahawaii.org/news3.htm
*       http://www.sos.state.ga.us/archives/ps/offsite.htm
*       http://www.coshrc.org/arc/states/res_stor.htm
*       ftp://ftp.sara.nysed.gov/pub/rec-pub/local-rec-pub/lgtis42.pdf
*       http://www.armabrlaf.org/Articles/1999_7_4.htm

Any additional help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
