The liberation of Iraq by President
Bush's administration will
certainly be a focus in 2004. But will "The War Prayer" be circulated
among those who need to read it as much as anyone: Saddam (if
alive), other tyrants, and terrorists.
You might want to add
Twain's Personal Recollections of Joan of
Arc to your list, by the way, to maintain some balance. After all,
Twain could support what appeared to him to be a justified fight for
liberation and a justified patriotic fervor.
