----------------- HES POSTING ----------------- I am writing a section of a paper in which I try to explain why Marshall avoids using the phrase "Industrial Revolution" in the historical chapters of the Principles (which became appendix A and B after 1907 I think). Do list members know if anything has been written on this particular fact? (so much has been written on Marshall that I suppose it would be extraordinary if no one had commented on this before!). Can they think of any occurence of the phrase "IR" in Marshall's other writings?
