Bravo, Dennis. Instead we have nations of excellent health, low criminality and disorder, and exemplars of democratic governance and civility. Perhaps the Globe and Mail editorial board can spend 1/10 of the intellectual energy it expends on deliberating the issue of daycare -- perhaps noting that licensed daycare is unavailable to 90% of Canadian families -- to focus upon the negative effects upon children of poverty where there is no controversy or debate. But that may require the Globe and Mail to address issues that are inconsistent with its emphasis upon pandering to the whims of the rich and powerful.
